Fixed Price Contracts are typically invoiced by Draw Schedule. For the Accounting team to be able to properly Invoice using our platform, the project manager or another team member will need to enter the Draw Schedule into the H/O Contract.
Note: A "Draw Schedule" can be added to the "Prime HO Contract" as well as any HO visible "Change Order.
Step 1- Create the Homeowner Contract from the Final Estimate
Once all of the Scope has been entered into either the Pre-Con Services or Specs & Selections page in Blueprint, you can create the Final Estimate and then upload the H/O Contract. Fixed price Contracts will have a draw schedule in the Exhibits.
Note: For the draw schedule to be accurate you need to make sure that the value of the contract scope in the Final Estimate matches the $ value that is in the Contract and Draw Schedule.
Step 2-Add Draw Tasks to the Project Schedule
Ensure that Homeowner Draws are in the schedule as tasks. See below an example of a draw schedule task in the schedule:
When the Draw tasks come up in the schedule, the project manager or another team member will need to notify accounting. For more on managing Schedules in Blueprint see: Overview of Blueprint Schedules
Step 3- Add Draw Schedule to H/O Agreement
Once the H/O Contract (either Construction or Pre-Con) has been created, simply navigate to the contract and click on "Draw Schedule" to add the draws.
Next, add each draw exactly as they appear in the Contract, as shown below. Click the + Draw button and then start typing in the "task" column to associate the draw with the correct task in the schedule. Next enter the $ amount the draw exactly as it appears in the contract.
Click save when you are done. Now that the Draw Schedule has been added, the Accounting team will be able to appropriately invoice the Homeowner through Blueprint. For more on invoicing see: Homeowner Invoicing
