Takeoffs replace ReadyPlan Templates and represent all of the scope that is connected to a Plan. Takeoffs will be the fundamental backbone of projects. The line items in Takeoffs such as Construction Materials along with Placeholders and their corresponding Design Package selections will inform the bidding process which in turn inform the POs and Budget. Takeoffs enable Homebound to have Design Packages in the platform. Takeoffs will also include labor line items which will help us build project schedules.
How to find Takeoffs?
To get to takeoffs simply click on "manage takeoffs" from within a Plan in the Library.
How to add items to Takeoffs?
From the 3 dots on the right you can add new line items. Items can be "materials", "labor" or a "placeholder" designed to hold a material selection yet to be determined. You can also upload items from a .CSV
- Materials - are generally construction materials such as lumber or drywall that won't be included in a Design Package but have specific materials associated. Some materials will automatically add a line item of labor. Note: as you add materials you can allocate to a task and that will add the needed labor lines to takeoffs
- Labor - these are line items that represent the labor needed to build the home. These line will be used as the building blocks of the schedule
- Placeholder - a placeholder is for something like cabinet hardware or lighting. They are generic items that will later have specific product selections in the Design Package
How to Filter Takeoff Items?
