Marking the Schedule as Active 

Before a Schedule is active, you will NOT be able to update the Status on tasks and the Schedule will still be in the "Draft" state on the mini-dashboard. Click "Start Stage" at the top right of the schedule to make that stage of the schedule "Active". 

✐ Note: Making a Schedule "Active" will set the Baseline

What are Schedule Baselines?

Schedule Baselines are a captured snapshot of schedule data from when a stage schedule is published. It also saves durations for units, activities, and project stages.

Any date changes that result from delays in schedule tasks or tasks that that are completed ahead of schedule will be reflected in the variance columns. This difference is relative to the baseline.

Marking the Schedule as Complete

Once all tasks in the schedule are complete you can mark the entire schedule of the stage "Complete" at the top right.
