What are Personal Dashboards?
Personal Dashboards are your new landing page in Blueprint. They surface actionable items, upcoming tasks, to-dos, and an activity feed. Users can filter to see these items for themselves or for other members of their team.
✐ Note: You can always look up unfamiliar terms in our Comprehensive Glossary of Key Terms. Key terms are bolded, italicized and in quotation marks. Like so, "Bill"

Why did we create Personal Dashboards?
Pending actions, communication, and notifications were not visible in a single, central place within the platform. Users were forced to go outside of the system to communicate or understand their daily responsibilities.
We created Personal Dashboards to give users visibility into what needs to happen and what has happened each day across all projects in one centralized place within the platform.

Personal Dashboards are for all users of Blueprint!

How to use Personal Dashboards?
Step 1: The Dashboard Header
Each user has a dashboard header that is unique to them. This header will surface a total number of action items for the user. The Dashboards Header is not affected by filters - it will always surface items only for the user logged in to Blueprint.
The Dashboard Header will show the number of tasks waiting on and assigned to that user. It will also surface tasks that have Trade Partners added but have not yet been scheduled.
✐ Note: You can indicate that a trade has been scheduled from within the Schedule Task Side Panel. Under "Trade Partner" in the Details tab, there is a checkbox for "Scheduled". When checked, that task will no longer surface under the "Scheduling" tab on the Dashboard Header.
Step 2: The Tabs & Filters
Each tab on your Personal Dashboard will have a unique set of filters. Some filters include:
- "Assigned to" - view another user's action items, tasks, to-dos, and activity
- "Project" - show only action items, tasks, to-dos, and activity for certain projects
- "Type" - show only certain types of action items, tasks, or activity notifications
The information on each tab will change according to these filters, while your Dashboard Header will always remain the same.
Tabs on your Personal Dashboard include:
- "Action Items" - surfaces stale tasks, tasks requiring scheduling, and delay flags
- "Upcoming" - shows an upcoming list or calendar view for all schedule tasks assigned to the users set in the "Assigned to" filter
- "To-dos" - this is the same to-dos board that existed before dashboards; users can see to-dos in a list or kanban view
- "Activity" - this is the same activity feed that existed before dashboards, with some enhancements to activity descriptions; users can click into activity feed hyperlinks to open a new tab for that project
Most task items surface across these tabs are actionable from within the dashboard - meaning users to not have to navigate to specific schedules in order to update schedule tasks.
✐ Note: You can expand and collapse each table and widget on your dashboard by using the double carrot icon on the top right-hand corner of each table.
Step 3: The Projects & Comments Widgets
When navigating across tabs on your dashboard (with the exception of the "To-dos" tab), you can find a Projects widget and a Comments widget.
These widgets will surface Projects and Comments for users set in the "Assigned to" filter.
Projects Widget
Here you can locate an overview of schedule information and financial information for each project. Use the expand/collapse icon to scroll within the widget. Use the drop downs to see more information.
Comments Widget
Here you can locate all comments that users set in your filters are watching. Use the expand/collapse icon to scroll within the widget. Use the "View" button to see the entire comment thread. Clicking the "View" button again will open a new tab to the page in Blueprint where the comments originated.
✐ Note: The "View" button in the Comments widget will turn blue when there are unread comments on the thread.
