Introducing the Material Import Agent 👋

Adding materials in the catalog just got a lot faster! The new Material Import Agent uses AI to pull product details and images straight from a URL, so you no longer have to fill out every field by hand. Here's how it works.

Adding a new material

1. From the Material Catalog page, click Add.

2. Enter the item type (tile, lighting, hardware, etc.) and the product URL — for example, a link to the item on kohler.com.
3. Click Continue (the agent may take a few minutes to load).

Reviewing what the AI found

Once the agent is done, you'll land on a details page with two kinds of fields:

• Purple fields were filled in by AI — take a moment to double-check these.
• White fields are blank and need your input. If a required field wasn't picked up, you'll be prompted to fill it in.

You can review each variant by clicking the variant images or using the Next variant. If a variant isn't one you want to keep, delete it and it'll drop off the list (you'll get a confirmation toast pop up at the bottom of the screen).

Once you've reviewed everything, click Create. You'll land back on the Material Catalog with your new material ready to go.

A few other things to know

Tip: The whole flow is mobile-friendly!

Tip: Prefer to skip the AI? Click "Enter details manually" to go straight to a blank form instead.
