Merging Variants in the Material Catalog

You can  merge a variant or product in the material catalog with another item if that item is a duplicate. This will be particularly helpful for reducing the number of duplicates that exist in Homebound's Material Catalog. Here's how to do it:

 Under the actions menu click Merge Duplicates:

From there you can find your duplicates and select them 

Tip: Use the filters if that helps you narrow the search

Once the variants are selected you will come to a screen where you can see all of the variants and their attributes. The top row will represent the variant that will exist after the merge. The attributes on the top row can be modified

Note: This screen will also show you where in Design Packages and Product Offering the materials are used. If a material variant that is used in a Design Package is merged then it will also be modified in the Design Package.

After that simply hit merge and make sure you get the toast message that the variants have been merged!
